Tennessee turns in another very impressive drive. The drive consisted of both passing and rushing yards and moving the ball very well.

They converted the 3rd downs well and got into Mississippi territory almost like they belonged there. They end the drive with a touchdown by Patterson and with the extra point we are back to a 3 point football game.

The score is Mississippi 27 to Tennessee 24.

Tennessee is able to stop Mississippi on their first drive and it could end up being excatly what they need at this point in the game. If the Volunteers can now turn this second possession into a good drive down the field and then into a score they will have put themselves back into the game.

The Bulldogs defense need a big play at this point since it already appears that Tennessee is playing a different game then they did in the first half.

Tennessee starts the half with a great play that was a reverse that almost collpsed with a big loss of yards but they truned it around into a decent gain and a first down. This is the kind of momemtum they need to get things going.

Even though they do not get into touchdown territory they do manage to get the field goal so they have turned their first possession into points which will go a long way if they can now have an effective defensive series.

The half time score is Mississippi State 27 to Tennessee 14.

As we start the second half all Mississippi needs to do is more of what they did in the first half. Moving the ball in increments and taking field goals when necessary.

For Tennessee to turn this around their defense needs to be more aware of the Bulldogs receivers and be there to make the plays. Too often they had blown chances on making the plays to force the turnover and getting the ball back into the hands of their offense.

They need to penetrate the offensive line better and apply more pressure also.

As the game winds down we see the teams leave the field with a final score of 51 for the Florida State Seminoles to the Boston College Eagles 7.

Chase Rettig, the quarterback for Boston College just couldn’t seem to successfully get the ball into his receivers hands enough, and when he did the Seminoles defense was always there to make the play and stop them from getting the yards they needed so badly.

This gives the Seminoles a 6-1 record.

After converting on their first possession of the half the Seminoles with a solid 30 point lead in my opinion it only makes sense that we should see more second and third string players during the second half. Obviously they would not want to let the game get out of hand or see big mistakes turn into big plays for the Eagles, but I think they also would not want to see an injury on their first string either.

Clearly, the Florida State defense has been playing well but in addition to that their offense has been converting 3rd downs well and hitting their receivers well also. They have even been getting yards on the run even though that is not their strong point.

With 4 minutes left in the third quarter the score is Florida State 38 to Boston College 7.
