Seattle early lead over San Francisco
Seattle had a decent first drive also. They were not able to convert a 3rd down once they were in 49er territory so they opt for a filed goal.
Steven Hauschka is able to make a 52 yard field goal so the Seahawks have the lead 3 to 0 over the 49er’s.
San Francisco vs Seattle week 7
San Francisco had the first po\ssession of the game and had a nice drive but were unsuccessful to turn it into points.
They did have a good punt so Seattle gets the deep within their own territory.
San Francisco 49er’s vs Seattle Seahawks week 7
As the Seahawks-49er’s game gets underway I think we can certainly expect to see big plays by the defense of both the 49er’s and the Seahawks. Some believe that San Francisco is one of the best defenses in the league right now. I am not sure I agree with that, but I do think that both of these teams have a defense that are well matched and both sides have a lot of potential to make big plays.
I do think that the Seahawk defense is more effective against the run and I expect to see San Francisco run the ball a lot tonight.
Offensively I believe that Seattle is more settled and can stop the defensive line of the 49er’s more effectively.
Mississippi State vs Tennessee 2nd half recap
Tennessee can certainly be proud of the way this game was played in the second half.
To be honest, by the end of the first half I didn’t really think that Tennessee really had much a chance to come back into the game but they sure did.
Mississippi State Wolverines were undefeated coming in to this game. Their defense proved to be quite formidable for the Tennessee offense, and the Bulldog offense stood up to them very well.
Tennessee was in almost complete control during the third quarter and Mississippi State had the 4th quarter to gain that control back. They actually did a pretty good job of it too.
In fact Mississippi State ended up gaining the edge back and winning the game 41 to 31.
Broncos take lead against Chargers
True to form and just what the Broncos needed Phillip Rivers quarterback for the Chjargers throws an interception and Manning gets the ball back.
And Peyton Manning does what he does best and gets the ball to a reciever and they got another touchdown. The score is now denver Broncos 28 to San Diego Cargers 24.
Penalties abound for Broncos against Chargers
Well Manning was put into a must do must convert 3rd down and 1 situation. First they have a false start and then the Broncos get nailed for a holding call and now it is 3rd and 16.
Manning under pressure still converts the third down and they advance the chains.
Under heavy pressure Manning is hitting home on his throws and his team is using every ounce of what is inside of them with second effort and they get into the end zone again. We now have a 3 point game.
Broncos earn chance to shorten point deficit
Well it was time for the Broncos defense to hold the Chargers back or force a turnover. And true to form they do manage to do just that and hold the Chargers to 3 and out.
This is exactly what Manning needs as he gets the ball back with about 2 and a half minutes left in the 3rd quarter. He has plenty of time.
The score is still 4 Chargers to 14 Broncos.
Chargers fumble Broncos score
A failed pass and fumble and the Broncos scoop it up and score. The Denever Broncos have a different game ahead of them now. The score is Denver 14 to San Diego 24.
Denver starts a comeback vs San Diego
The first drive of the second half certainly is the Broncos bets drive. They did not panic, took their time and moved the ball well and get the touchdown.
In order for Manning to have a comeback it will be up the the Broncos defense to get the ball back into Manning’s hands. Score is 7 Denver 24 Sand Diego.
But Rivers and the rest of the Charger offense had a decent first half.
Can Peyton Manning bring team back against Broncos
We have seen Peyton Manning start the second half in the hole before and bring the team back. Can he do it again against the Chargers?
He certainly has the talent and knows it can be done and he knows he has done it before and my guess is he currently is in the locker room thinking he is going to do it tonight.
I would just love to see it happen. I often feel good about rooting for the underdog, and I really enjoy to see quarterbacks pull off come-backs also. It’s fun to watch.
