The first drive of the second half certainly is the Broncos bets drive. They did not panic, took their time and moved the ball well and get the touchdown.

In order for Manning to have a comeback it will be up the the Broncos defense to get the ball back into Manning’s hands. Score is 7 Denver 24 Sand Diego.

But Rivers and the rest of the Charger offense had a decent first half.

We have seen Peyton Manning start the second half in the hole before and bring the team back. Can he do it again against the Chargers?

He certainly has the talent and knows it can be done and he knows he has done it before and my guess is he currently is in the locker room thinking he is going to do it tonight.

I would just love to see it happen. I often feel good about rooting for the underdog, and I really enjoy to see quarterbacks pull off come-backs also. It’s fun to watch.

The last thing the Broncos needed to do was make any more mistakes heading into half time. But they do and lose yards on a penalty and the Chargers could actually score again before the half.

And the Chargers are able tyo turn the drive into a touchdown so it looks like they will take a 24 point lead into the locker room at the half.

The half time score is Denver Broncos 0 to San Diego Chargers 24.

We have seen a number of mistakes now on both sides. The latest is a ball that was litterally taken out of the Chargers hands as he caught the ball giving the Broncos an opportunity for a drive to put points on the board.

And a pass to Decker gets them around the 45 yard line and a first down. And then suddenly Manning throws an interception and runs it in for a touchdown and suddenly the Chargers have a nice lead as we move into the last part of the 2nd quarter.

Score is San Diego Chargers 17 to Denver Broncos 0.

Although Manning does get one first down, he just can’t get everything working together well and get stopped and the Broncos have to punt.

The defense of the Denver Broncos has been doing a very successful job of stopping the Chargers in their drives.

A few running plays and they get about 8 yards, then a nice pass by Rivers and they are at mid field. Then another pass to Antonio Gates and they get another 23 yards.

The Chargers are once again well within striking distance and are vying for the end zone. They have the ball at the 33 with 3rd and 16. Then with a penalty they are losing ground. They do not get the first down and that ends the first quarter. Chargers still have the lead 10 to 0.

I can’t believe what just happened. The second punt and the second time the ball is fumbled on a return.

Rivers gets another shot at scoring and he makes a pass to Robert Meachem and they score. This gives the Chargers an early lead after two really huge mistakes by the Broncos.

After the punt return fumble and recovery by the Chargers, they can’t get in the end zone but they do get the field goal and get the first points on the board and now have the lead. The score 3 to 0.

It’s time for Manning and company to have a second crack at the ball.

Well each team had a possession and both went 3 and out. Then San Diego has their second 3 and out and punts.

Then on the punt return the Chargers force a fumble and recover the ball. A big play early in the game. They are within striking distance with this turnover.

Will we see Peyton Manning put together good solid drives that move the ball down the field? Or will he throw interceptions like he has been in some of his games earlier in the year?

I think if he can get a few receptions during his first drive and make the first down it would be a big boost to their confidence. And if you look at his stats the interceptions he has had this year, none of them from the last 3 games.

Will the Chargers defense be able to stop Manning and shut him down? Grab a drink the game is going to start.

The final score in the game 42 to 17 and green Bay takes the win over the Houston Texans.

A truly impressive game by the Packers. Their defense did very well shutting dow the run on the Texans. And their offensive line slowed down the blitz and gave Aaron Rodgers time to throw 6 touchdown passes.
