Detroit Lions vs Chicago Bears week 7 half time
End of the first half in Chicago Bears Football game against Detroit Lions
Another punt by the Bears, and a flag on the return, and it might be the best starting field position the Lions have had so far. But a hurried throw on third down and they must punt again.
The Bears get the ball deep in their own territory, at the one, and the Detroit defense needs to be stronger right now then they have been so far this game.
Even though it took them 3 downs to do it they do get the first down and now have a bit of breathing room. A really nice drive by the Bears and I think what made it so impressive was the overall mixture of plays that Chicago ran. They had quite a mixture of both play action pass and running.
Detroit defense does manage to hold them off in the red zone and the special teams get a kudos since they were able to block the field goal and keep them from scoring on this drive.
Detroit gets the ball back and have a nice play on first down and get about 8 yards and then nothing and they go 3 and out once again.
A big scare for Chicago and Cutler takes a big hit and stayed down a bit so he had to be out for one play, but he is ok and goes back in but they go 3 and out and Detroit will get the ball again before the end of the half.
This drive was clearly ther best turned in by the Lions so far and they get a few first downs but then end up fumbling the ball and give it back to the Chicago defense.
Since there was only 1 minute 22 left in the half and even though it is Chicago’s ball Cutler goes to the locker room early, most likely to check him out after such a bit hit on him.
The Bears take a 10 point lead into the half with a score of Bears 10 to Lions 0.
